I was pumped to see Pres. OBama, while in Boulder yesterday, take a moment to drive a Sphero!  I’ve had a long working relationship designing all the drive controllers and initial game apps as well as the app Obama uses here!

The president used an app I designed.  HA!  Too cool…

I’m getting pretty excited to get out to CES this year!  The rumors are flying as always.  Lots of new tablets and other hardware expected.  One area I’m excited about is the smartphone controlled consumer products arena.

Rage Digital and myself recently had a chance to work with Orbotix to design the Sphero app which will be officially announced at this years show.  Wired’s Gadget Lab has even challenged Gizmodo to a Sphero Marble Madness face off! (via Feld Thoughts)

Should be a fun weekend!  More posts to come…

I’m excited to see Boulder based startup Orbotix get some nice press last week on their first product, Sphero. This isn’t your average ball.  The iPhone/Android controlled ball is just the beginning.  The potential for the Orbotix platform and smartphone controlled devices is huge.

Rage Digital is excited to have the opportunity to work with Orbotix on the user interface for Sphero!  They have a great team and we’re confident there CES demo will be a smash hit! I think there may be a Wired vs Gizmodo challenge arranged as well.
